Many different groups work voluntarily throughout the year to keep Prestatyn looking its best for both residents and visitors alike.
Vision Support Charity
Volunteers from a visually impaired group that meet on a regular basis in the Scala have taken on the maintenance and planting of a large seating
planter in the High Street. Highly scented plants are being used.
Community Payback Team
The Community payback team and the Youth Justice Service have carried out many jobs throughout Prestatyn including watering of the flower beds,
removing graffiti, cleaning up the public bins and removing fly posters. The Community Payback team have also helped cleaning and mending any
broken street furniture and they have most recently created wooden planters which have been placed at the bottom of the High Street by the Railway
Prestatyn in Bloom Committee
Pictured right are a few members of the Prestatyn in Bloom Committee that meet regularly throughout the year to work on different projects within
the town, ensure constant improvement of the town from the Hillside to the Beach and everything in between. They hold many competitions to ensure
Business involvement and encourage community involvement also.
Friends of the Ffrith
Friends of the Ffrith are a dedicated hardworking group that maintain the Ffrith Festival Gardens. They have conducted many
tasks such as clearing pathways, removing overgrown bushes, helping to secure wildlife, providing signage and information boards.
They also have a wildflower garden and have planted 60 sapling trees with the local Scouts groups. They carry out regular litter picks
throughout the gardens and have been successful in securing many grants to ensure their work can continue.
This year Friends of the Ffrith have been successful in gaining a Green Flag for the Ffrith Festival Gardens.
